Transsupport is a non-profit, educational, non-sexual peer support
group for Crossdressers, Transsexuals, their families, friends and
significant others.

It is not a dating or sexual contact group and such activities are not
permitted at meetings.

Meetings are held once a month in Brunswick, Maine. A security interview
is required before potential members are allowed to attend.



Membership is open to people of all gender and sexual orientation who
are transgendered. (i.e. cross-dressers, transgenderists, transsexuals);
their families, spouses, and significant others. The yearly membership fee
is $80.- (payment plans available). Members must be eighteen or older.

Transsupport provides:

1. Peer support and personal contacts for individuals and family members
wishing to know more about gender issues.
2. Access to educational materials.
3. Social activities for members.
4. Referrals to other groups.
5. Referrals to medical, mental health, and social professionals who work
with gender dysphoria.

Transsupport also participates in the "Speak Out Project" which gives
presentations to the public and to professionals who are likely to
interact with the gender community.
